Why It’s important?

Separating yard waste from household garbage is crucial for the environment as it enables proper composting and recycling processes. When yard waste, such as grass clippings, leaves, and small branches, is kept distinct from household garbage, it can be processed into compost, enriching soil and reducing the need for chemical fertilizers. This separation also prevents organic waste from ending up in landfills, where it would decompose anaerobically, producing methane—a potent greenhouse gas. By ensuring that yard waste is managed separately, we contribute to a more sustainable waste management system, reduce landfill usage, and lower our overall carbon footprint, fostering a healthier and greener planet.

Happy gardening! 🌿
